SUMMARY:Barkly herd management forum — Alexandria Station
DESCRIPTION:The Northern Territory Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) will be holding the biennial Barkly Herd Management Forum on 6 August at Alexandria Station. \nThe course is for middle management employees such as head stockmen\, overseers and assistant managers to interact with experts in various fields and learn from each other as to the best management practices for the Barkly region. \nTopics vary each year to forum to ensure returning participants are presented with new information. This year\, topics include: cattle health\, nutrition and breeding; data collection; pasture management; soils and climate; business decisions\, and; leadership and communication. \nAt each forum DAF staff provide participants with an understanding of the implications of current Northern Territory research results.
