In response to the deteriorating drought situation across Queensland, the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, and the Queensland South Region Drought Response Network has the following Drought assistance information sessions to assist producers with issues and needs resulting from the dry conditions.
- Bymount Hall – Monday 3 March
- Yuleba Hall – Tuesday 4 March
- Meandarra Bowls Club – Wednesday 5 March
- Talwood Hall – Thursday 6 March
- Teelba Hall – Friday 7 March
Topics that will be covered include:
- Drought Relief Assistance Scheme
- Financial counselling
- State and Federal loan schemes
- Animal nutrition and drought feeding
- Economics of drought
- Community and business resilience.
AgForce and Queensland Murray Darling Committee representatives will also be available.
