In response to the deteriorating drought situation across Queensland, the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) and the Queensland South Region Drought Response Network will be hosting a Drought Assistance Information Session for producers covering:
- Drought Relief Assistance Scheme
- Animal nutrition and drought feeding
- Economics of drought
At some locations other support agencies and organisations will also be in attendance including:
- DAF – Industry Development, Animal Science and Biosecurity
- Rural Financial Counselling Service
- South West NRM
- QRAA
- Queensland Murray Darling Commission
Smoko and lunch will be provided.
