Options, Obstacles, Outcomes
The 5th Queensland Pest Animal Symposium will cover topics such as new and existing management tools, decision support, costs and benefits, community initiatives, social issues, resource issues, cutting-edge research and the what, where and why of options, obstacles and outcomes.
Ample time will be scheduled for networking and discussion during the Symposium and social program, which will consist of a Welcome Reception, Symposium Dinner and Industry Breakfast. Field trips will be held on Wednesday 9 November 2016 to showcase research and management activities of peri urban and rural pest animal issues affecting North Queensland. Trade displays will be exhibited throughout the Symposium.
The Symposium is for public and private landholders, researchers and operational staff, including:
- Pest management contractors and suppliers
- Landowners
- Agribusiness
- Local government staff and councillors
- Pest animal researchers
- Government agency staff for Biosecurity and National Parks
- University and high school students
- Landcare members and Community Liaison Officers
- Regional Natural Resource Management bodies
