Our community relies heavily on the Agricultural Industry, whether directly or indirectly. There is loads of activity taking place in the region, with the construction of the new Wellcamp Airport, the commencement of the 2nd Range Crossing and talk of an Inland Rail Line. However, these activities are all relying on one thing… people… to grow, manufacture and consume the products and services that sustain the businesses of our region.
The aim of Startup Weekend – Ag and the Environment, is to get the innovative ideas from the minds of our community and bring them out into the open, where through collaboration with other entrepreneurs, they can be validated, iterated and developed into viable, sustainable, scalable start-ups with robust business models… and spoken about in a clear and concise manner that could attract investment and talent to see it become a reality.
