Stocktake: balancing supply and demand
What’s it all about?
This one day practical training workshop steps you through the concepts of land condition monitoring, forage budgeting and grazing management. The ‘Stocktake’ package has been developed to provide grazing land managers with a practical way to:
- Assess land condition
- Identify different land types
- Determine carrying capacity
- Calculate seasonal forage budgets
- Record and store monitoring data
- Identify further training opportunities.
Cost: Only $50 per enterprise. Normally valued at $300; this workshop has been heavily subsidized.
What to bring: As the workshop includes a paddock component please bring appropriate equipment including enclosed footwear, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and a water bottle.
