Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training will teach you practical skills to support someone with a mental health problem. Make a real difference to people in your community. \nAttending Mental health first aid will: \n\nimprove your knowledge of mental illness\, treatments and first aid actions\nincrease your confidence of providing first aid\ndecrease stigmatising attitudes\nincrease the level of support provided to others.\n\nLearn practical first aid skills: \n\nrecognise common mental health problems\nprovide initial help using a practical\, evidence-based Action Plan\nseek appropriate professional help\nrespond in a crisis situation.\n\nPlease note: This is a 12-hour educational course\, not a therapy or support group. \nSign up\nRSVP by 9 March 2026 to Kelli Aston on 0407 739 330. \nFree light morning tea and lunch NOT provided. DESCRIPTION:Come and discuss drought management ideas with fellow producers and learn about drought preparedness at this free workshop. \nAs part of Queensland’s drought reform\, Drought Preparedness Grants offer 25% (up to $50\,000) as a co-contribution grant to assist primary producers undertake on-farm capital improvements that will improve the drought preparedness of their property. To access these grants and other drought support measures including no and low interest loans\, producers will need to have a Farm Business Resilience Plan. To assist producers with this\, the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Queensland (DAF)\, Rural Solutions Queensland Inc (RSQ) and Queensland Rural & Industry Development Authority (QRIDA) invite you to a workshop to learn more about the new policy\, how to apply and to discuss drought management ideas for adoption and funding.’ \nDon’t forget to register otherwise you may go without lunch! \n \nSee the event flyer here.
