Pasture management for South East Queensland catchments
The Pasture Management for South East Queensland Catchments booklet has been thoroughly reviewed and updated through Natural Resources Investment Program. “We are excited to have completed this work,” says primary booklet coordinator and Beef Extension Officer, Greg Bath. “The original booklet was written and published in 2013 by Damien O’Sullivan, but through science and advancing technologies, our knowledge of the landscape, mapping capabilities and discovery of new suitable sown pasture species, has advanced. In accordance, we decided to review and update the technical content.”
The new version is now relevant to a greater area of south east Queensland. Greg says, “The new information will assist the improvement of productivity, sustainability and resilience of local graziers.”
“The revision and production of the booklet has certainly been a team effort with expertise being provided from right across the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries team. This booklet will be a key resource that we will provide for free at upcoming workshops across the region.”
The book contains information about establishing and maintaining healthy and sustainable pastures including managing pasture condition, grazing systems, enhancing native pastures, land types and, legumes and grasses for South East Queensland pastures. Download your copy today!
