Cattle welfare standards

Print / Save as PDF

Melinee Leather, a beef producer at Banana in Queensland, discusses what the cattle welfare standards mean for your business in this short video.

From 1 October 2017, producers needed to meet new biosecurity and animal welfare requirements. Download copies of each of the Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines from animalwelfarestandards.net.au/welfare-standards-and-guidelines.

Check your state and territory’s specific animal welfare legislation on the Queensland Government, Northern Territory and Western Australian Government websites.

If your property is located in Queensland, you can contact the DPI Customer Call Centre on 13 25 23.
