Learn how to provide targeted nutrition in a cost-effective way at this free $ensible $upplementation workshop.

Join DPI livestock extension officers Mick Sullivan, Roger Sneath, Marcia Smith and Tim Emery as they discuss the fundamentals of effective cattle nutrition and supplementation, along with practical ways to better manage pasture and supplementation throughout the year.

Topics include:

  • Nutrition fundamentals and requirements
  • Identifying limiting nutrients
  • Protein, energy and phosphorous supplementation
  • Breeder herd management to minimise supplement costs
  • Evaluating supplement options.

Bonus for participants!

Producers can have the nutritional value and cost effectiveness of their supplements evaluated.

Workshops will be held at three locations:

Warwick: Tuesday 1 September | Warwick RSL, 65 Albion Street, Warwick

Moonie: Wednesday 2 September | Moonie Sports Club, Cnr Moonie & Leichhardt Highway, Moonie

Surat: Thursday 3 September | Surat New Royal Hotel, 63 Burrowes Street, Surat

Time: 8:30 am registration and refreshments, 9:00 am – 2:30 pm workshop.

Morning tea and lunch are provided.
