Join the Department of Primary Industries for Sensible Supplementation workshops where we discuss the fundamentals that must be considered for effective management of cattle nutrition and supplementation.
Topics will include:
- nutrient requirements
- identifying limiting nutrients
- protein, energy and phosphorous supplementation
- breeder herd management to minimise supplement costs
- evaluating supplement options.
Producers can have the nutritional value and cost effectiveness of their supplements evaluated if they send supplement details before the workshop.
