Event description

This field day provides an opportunity to get an inside look at how a prominent, family-owned and operated cropping and livestock business is combining cattle genetics, pasture management, technology and data to improve beef production.

What you’ll see and hear from Coulton Farming:

Farm Manager Ben Baker, alongside Ben and Will Coulton, will share insights into the Bengalla Station cattle operation, including:

  • Livestock and pasture management
  • Wagyu × Angus F1 cattle
  • Multi-species permanent pasture under pivots
  • Technology in action on-farm

Animal Performance on Pasture, Drought Feeding & Species Management on Multispecies Pastures

Marty Conroy-Jaegar from Barenbrug Seeds will discuss animal performance and grazing management to improve productivity and practical approaches to drought feeding, with a focus on maintaining cattle performance and making informed decisions when pasture availability is limited.

Cattle Management & Pasture Monitoring with AgriWebb

The AgriWebb team will take us through Coulton Farming’s cattle management records and demonstrate how the operation uses AgriWebb software to record and manage its cattle enterprise.

We’ll also explore how AgriWebb is being used to predict and monitor pasture availability, helping producers better understand their feed base and make more informed livestock management decisions.
