Join us at our pigeonpea trial site at Condamine to inspect our pigeonpea research trials.
Woods Seeds and the Department of Primary Industries, with investment from GRDC and the assistance of MCA, are conducting pigeonpea variety and agronomy trials at a joint site on Ben Taylor’s property ‘Home Leigh’ near Condamine.
Interested growers and agronomists can see pigeonpea in the field and understand the opportunities and issues with growing pigeonpea.
Our target is to build a new pigeonpea industry in Queensland, providing growers with a profitable new broadacre summer legume crop, and developing new export markets to Asia, building on the success of mungbean and chickpea.
