Resource Consulting Services (RCS) is bringing GrazingforProfit® to Yeppoon this February.
GrazingforProfit® is a seven-day farm business management program that brings together the business, livestock, grazing and people sides of running a grazing enterprise.
Topics
- Business and financial management – understanding profit drivers, analysing business performance, managing cash flow and setting business goals
- Grazing and land management – pasture growth, feed budgeting, stocking rates, carrying capacity, grazing planning and property development
- Livestock management – reproduction, nutrition, body condition and supplementation
- Seasonal planning – using grazing charts, forecasting stocking rates and planning for drought and climate variability
- People and management – communication, time management, decision making and working effectively within a family or team.
Participants work on their own business throughout the course, take part in group discussions and case studies and attend a field trip to see the principles applied on-property.
