The Burnett Mary Regional Group’s (BMRG) Better Catchments project funded by the Australian Government has been exploring the use of fertiliser and lime on grazing properties in the South Burnett.
Topics for the day include:
- Economics of fertilising sown pasture such as Rhodes grass.
- Economics of fertilising native pastures.
- Does lime make a difference to pasture growth?
- Other options to improve pastures – grazing management and legumes.
- Increasing soil organic matter, Veronica Chapman, Burnett Catchment Care Association.
