Managing horses on small acreage workshop

Session One: 8.30-9.30am

Brookfield Veterinary Surgery will discuss how good pasture management can help to control parasites and toxic weeds.

Biosecurity Queensland will provide an update on Hendra virus, moving your horse, and health and disease management for horse owners.

Session Two: 10.00am-1.00pm

Effectively managing your pasture will improve your horse’s health, save you time and money, and contribute to long term property health. Topics will include:

• grass and weed identification and management
• preferred grasses for horses
• importance of good ground cover
• manure management.

Cost: Free – morning tea provided.
