Let’s talk science: using light to help feed the world

Watch presentations on:

  • ‘Photosynthesis: the most important chemical reaction in the world’ by Professor John Evans (ARC Centre of Excellence for Translational Photosynthesis)
  • ‘Food for our future: science feeding the world’ by Dr Andrew Borrell, Associate Professor (The University of Queensland) and Principal Research Fellow/Centre Leader (Hermitage Research Facility).

There will be an open question time after the presentations to discuss science and careers with the two speakers and a panel of key scientists, including Dr David Jordan, Professor in Genetics and Plant Breeding (The University of Queensland), Dr Emma Mace, Senior Research Scientist (DAF) and Dr Barbara George-Jaeggli, Research Scientist (DAF/The University of Queensland).
