This is a rare opportunity to observe a long-term, side by side comparison of paddocks with and without legumes, demonstrating clear differences in production.

Join us at the legume trial site on ‘Thisit’, established in 1997 and hear Stuart Buck and Gavin Peck, Sown Pasture Agronomists, Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, discuss:

  • Long-term benefits of a perennial legume in buffel grass compared to buffel grass only
  • Legume benefits to pasture yield and quality
  • Grass-legume interactions ad impact of legume inclusion on Indian couch and other grass presence and population
  • Grass and legume response to phosphorous fertiliser.

Please RSVP by 27 March for catering purposes to Stuart Buck DAF Rockhampton T: 07 4923 6205 or E: stuart.buck@daf.qld.gov.au
