BeefConnect webinar: Seasonal climate outlook for summer

Date: Thursday 24 October 2013
Time:
12:30am-1:30pm AEST
Event category:
Venue

The latest seasonal climate outlook is being released by the Bureau of Meteorology on 23 October. So join us to hear the latest climate update, based on the updated model that builds on the accuracy of its three-month outlooks for temperature and rainfall across Australia.

In this webinar, we will hear Vikash Prasad from the Bureau of Meteorology tell us about the Bureau’s new seven day forecast system.

Dave McRae from the Queensland Government will then provide his seasonal climate outlook, along with the outlook from the Bureau’s new Predictive Ocean Atmosphere Model for Australia (POAMA). While it will focus on Queensland, it will also cover New South Wales, Victoria and the Northern Territory too.

Guest presenters

Join Vikash Prasad from the Bureau of Meteorology and well-known climate commentator Dave McCrae from the Queensland Government, along with hosts Jon Condon (Beef Central) and John James (FutureBeef).
