Presented by Central West Queensland local Peter Whip of PRW Agribusiness.

There are a number of key issues confronting rural businesses in this region and we have identified the two key areas which impact the most on business profitability for businesses of this type:

  • Understanding and measuring profit drivers in grazing enterprises and adapting strategies to maximize profitability over time.
  • Understanding and managing our biggest expense – finance.

This workshop will deliver:

  1. Training in key business profitability concepts.
  2. Access to Excel templates for landholders to carry out an analysis of their own business financial statements.
  3. Benchmarking participant 3 year business performance against group and regional data.
  4. Analysis of benchmarked data and review/adaptation strategies for all participant businesses.
  5. Training and understanding of various finance structures and the true cost of finance.
  6. Comparison of various finance structure options.
  7. Ongoing free telephone support for workshop participants for a 3 month period following the workshop.

The workshop cost is $25 per person or $40 per business.

Lunch and morning tea included.
