Kidman Springs Field Day 1-2 August 2012
Catch up with pastoral production staff from the NT Department of Resources (DoR) and discuss the latest results in cattle and rangelands research and what it means for your beef business.
The first day will cover topics such as northern grazing systems, cross-breeding, factors affecting live weight gain of steers, polledness, weaner and heifer management, Hormone Growth Promotant (HGP) strategies and strategic supplementation.
All meals provided, including smoko and lunch. BBQ dinner with entertainment to follow.
Day 2 will provide an opportunity for pastoralists to bring along their supplementation figures and work out the cost effectiveness of different strategies and scenarios with DoR staff.
