You are invited to visit three properties, each conducting different trials in the incorporation of legumes into buffel grass pastures.
‘Kookaburra’ comparing buffel grass with desmanthus to buffel grass only pasture established 19 years ago; and pasture response to phosphorus fertiliser.
‘Cherwondah’ establishing five different legumes into sprayed out strips of grass pastures.
‘Juandah Valley’ comparing different ways to establish legumes into existing grass pastures; and pasture varieties demonstration (five legumes).
Guest speaker: Gavin Peck, Senior Pasture Agronomist (Sown Pastures), Department of Agriculture and Fisheries.
