To prepare for the coming summer season the Australian Lot Feeders’ Association, in conjunction with Meat & Livestock Australia and Katestone, invite you to attend one of their ‘Managing summer heat’ workshops.

By the end of the workshop you will:

  • be able to formulate your own Heat Load Action Plan
  • be able to conduct a risk assessment using the Cattle Heat Load Toolbox
  • be familiar with the concepts relevant to heat load management
  • be able to develop your own daily heat load monitoring program with triggers and actions
  • be competent in the use of the Cattle Heat Load Toolbox to anticipate heat load events including setting alerts and understanding the forecasts
  • understand the basic equipment requirements in order to manage heat load effectively
  • understand where to go for help and further information
  • be familiar with the work activities that can be used to effectively manage heat load in feedlot cattle.

  • Australian Lot Feeders Association member $200
  • Non-member $250
