Join extension officers Bob Shepherd and Megan Willis from Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for Grazing land management EDGE in Townsville, 15-17 March 2022.
Grazing land management EDGE is a three day workshop designed to provide a thorough understanding of a the grazing land environment in which you operate, enhancing your ability to strategically manage your grazing business.
Attending the workshop will help you to:
- understand how your land types influence productivity
- recognise the dominant land types in your region and on your property
- critically assess grazing systems
- understand soil properties and how they influence pasture growth
- soil health
- land condition
- the role of fire in land management
- sown pastures
- principles of weed management.
Attendees will also learn practical tips and sustainable grazing land management strategies.
Cost
$1250pp + GST* / One person from a business (usually $1750 + GST); $950pp + GST* / Two or more people from the same business (usually $1450 + GST).
* Discounted prices are possible thanks to support from The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Reef Grazing Extension Services and NQ Dry Tropics through the Queensland Government Reef Water Quality Program.
