Northern Australia Coordination Network – Enhancing preparedness for Emergency Animal Diseases in northern Australia

Emergency Animal Diseases (EAD) threaten Australia’s livestock industry, and northern Australia is one of the biggest risk pathways for a disease incursion.

Industry preparedness should be at the forefront for all stakeholders given the risks. In recognition of this, a new $4.33 million biosecurity boost for northern Australia has been announced (in 2024) – the Northern Australia Coordination Network (NACN).
