Rural Landholder Recovery Grants available for cyclone and bushfire clean-up and restoration
Grants of up to $10,000 are available to help eligible rural landholders directly impacted by Tropical Cyclone Jasper, Northern and Southern Queensland bushfires with the costs of clean-up and restoration of their small-scale primary production enterprise. Applications for the Rural Landholder Recovery Grant are open until 31 March 2025.
To be eligible for assistance, the small-scale primary production enterprise must be located within an eligible government area impacted by Tropical Cyclone Jasper in December 2023, the Southern Queensland bushfires between September and November 2023 or the Northern Queensland Bushfires between October and December 2023. Eligible applicants must not have already received other disaster grant or loan assistance for these events.
Eligible activities include, but are not limited to, costs associated with clean-up activities, salvaging damaged crops, purchasing fodder to replace fodder lost, reinstating water points, and repairing essential equipment and machinery.
