Hi everyone, I started with DPI as an Extension Officer (Carbon) in December on a part-time basis (2 days week) and am based in Brisbane at the Ecosciences Precinct. I’m excited to join the team and work in providing independent evidence-backed information surrounding carbon and environmental methods and markets.
Over the last 4 years I’ve worked in the soil carbon credit industry developing and managing projects in Queensland with livestock producers with AgriProve. At the beginning of 2023, I started a PhD with the University of Tasmania and CSIRO on using a transdisciplinary approach to look at climate adaptation and mitigation in livestock systems. My work has been based in Australia and Northern Kenya where I’ve used both modelling and social science methods.
