The 2025 Northern Territory Cattlemen’s Association (NTCA) Conference set a new benchmark as the largest in history, with over 1,000 registered attendees and 65 exhibitors gathering at the Darwin Convention Centre for two action-packed days. Recognised as the premier annual beef industry event in Northern Australia, the conference delivered a dynamic program addressing key industry challenges, innovations, and achievements while fostering connections across the sector.

Celebrating Future Leaders
The conference commenced with a breakfast celebrating the 2024 graduates of the Georgina Pastoral Future NTCA program. Established in 2014, Future NTCA is dedicated to empowering the next generation of leaders in the Northern Territory pastoral industry. Graduates shared insights on their experiences, highlighting the program’s impact on their professional journeys. A notable announcement came from Angus Australia, unveiling a new collaborative initiative to further enhance the program’s future.

A Gathering of Women in Agriculture
The highly anticipated NTCA & Charles Darwin University Ladies Lunch saw over 200 women from across the north and beyond come together at the Darwin Turf Club. The event provided a unique platform for networking, inspiration, and celebration. Guests enjoyed a heartfelt presentation from Krystal and Maggie of the Silent Struggle Podcast, along with superb dining, boutique shopping, and a chance to win coveted prizes, including a Paspaley Pearls voucher. Kate Murphy from Dungowan Station, part of the NTCA Katherine Branch Organising Committee, reflected on the significance of the event in strengthening industry connections.
Showcasing Innovation and Industry Growth
The conference featured a packed schedule, including the Nutrien Ag Solutions Tech & Tea field trip to Beatrice Hill Research Farm, engaging presentations, and a bustling trade hall with over 60 exhibition booths showcasing the latest industry products and services. Stakeholders emphasised the NTCA Conference’s critical role in business development and industry engagement.

A Grand Finale
The event culminated in the Australian Agricultural Company Gala Dinner, bringing together pastoralists, industry leaders, Members of Parliament, and senior Ministers. The evening was a fitting conclusion to an event that not only tackled pressing industry matters but also celebrated the resilience and innovation of the Northern Territory’s beef industry.
With record-breaking attendance and an agenda that both informed and inspired, the 2025 NTCA Conference reinforced its reputation as an unmissable event for all those invested in the future of Northern Australia’s pastoral sector.
