Join Dick Richardson for an entertaining and hugely instructional session covering the basics of ecology, plant growth and the principles of Grazing Naturally. The relationships between ecosystem function and the patterns of grazing is highlighted, giving insight to outcomes and the patterns that created them.
The program
The day will cover:
- natural carbon cycling
- the liquid carbon pathway to soil building
- how plants grow and create soil carbon
- overgrazing
- rational versus rotational grazing
- the “Grazing Naturally” method
- in paddock session
- calculating carrying capacity including STACs in the paddocks.
