This is the first of two webinars developed from analyses undertaken in the Fitzroy and northern Gulf catchments of Queensland and the Katherine region of the Northern Territory.
In this webinar Fred Chudleigh (Department of Agriculture and Fisheries Agricultural Economist, Toowoomba) looks at a wide range of strategies and technologies aimed at making northern Australia beef producers more efficient. Fred will discuss: the relative value of investments ranging from perennial legumes, forage oats, silage, feedlotting and HGPs for steers; better genetics for fertility, reducing calf loss, mortality rates, pestivirus management, and; phosphorus supplements.
