Guest speaker, Tim Emery, will discuss practical ways to improve herd fertility and profitability. Topics covered include:
- Developing breeding objectives
- Bull Breeding Soundness Evaluation (BBSE) and understanding morphology
- Estimated Breeding Values (EBVs)
- Breeding programs
- Key findings from multiple research projects: Beef CRC, Bull Power etc.
Tim, DAF beef extension officer Roma, also runs a commercial beef herd at Wallumbilla.
