Good cattle records are an important part of your biosecurity plan, including the NLIS transfer records that are held on the NLIS database. As a follow up to the biosecurity days, we will be running a number of NLIS workshops.
In the event of an animal disease outbreak, the NLIS database is used by Biosecurity Qld to work out where cattle are and where they have been, so it’s important to keep it accurate. If your NLIS account has not been kept up to date or if you have received multiple error messages, then eliminating your property from quarantine can be harder to achieve.
To improve your skills in using the NLIS database and keeping accurate NLIS records, please register to attend this workshop.
