Speakers
Steven Bray, Grazing Land Scientist, DAF: Regrowth has impacts on cattle productivity and carbon. The trade-offs and potential benefits of managing Brigalow regrowth for livestock productivity, soil and vegetation carbon and business profitability will be discussed.
Stuart Buck, Senior Agronomist (Sown Pastures), DAF: Nitrogen tie-up causing productivity decline in sown pastures. Causes and symptoms of pasture rundown, management options including legumes and establishment techniques.
Jim Fletcher, Beef Extension Officer, DAF: Managing pastures for nutrition. Stocking rates and how they impact diet selection, impact of supplementation, animal requirements and pasture nutrition by growth phase.
