The Sargood’s of ‘Halton’ Station have successfully introduced and sustained a healthy population of dung beetles on their property. They are keen to share their success with other producers to ensure ongoing breeding and expansion of dung beetle populations through Western Queensland.
The field day will include professional speakers on:
- Dung Beetles: Past, Present, Future – Breeding and introduction as well as on-property demonstration of how to introduce and grow your dung beetle herd to ensure they thrive.
- Landcare Farming – The next decade.
- The Australian Sustainable Beef Framework
- Rehydrating the Landscape
Directions to ‘Halton’ Station: Approximately 45km east of Charleville on the Charleville Morven Highway.
Catering: Morning tea & lunch provided – please advise of any special dietary requirements when registering.
