This event, supported by the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program, the Fitzroy Basin Association, and Meat & Livestock Australia, aims to bring together industry representatives, land managers, processors, and researchers to discuss the latest research, share experiences, and explore effective strategies for mitigating the challenges posed by feral animals.

- Dr. David Jenkins – Adjunct Associate Professor in Veterinary Parasitology Dr. David Jenkins is a renowned expert in veterinary parasitology. His research focuses on the cause, outcomes, distribution, and control of the hydatid tapeworm and canine “tongue” worm. With extensive knowledge of these parasites and their effects on cattle, Dr. Jenkins brings valuable insights into the biosecurity impacts of feral animals on beef businesses in CQ.
- Darren Pointon – Out ‘N’ About Trapping, Professional Vertebrate Pest Manager With 30 years of experience as a professional vertebrate pest manager, Darren Pointon specializes in wild dog management. - Greg Mifsud – National Wild Dog Management Coordinator Greg Mifsud is a dedicated expert in wild dog management and serves as the National Wild Dog Management Coordinator.
