The Fitzroy Basin Association invites you to join them, extension officers and land managers, for an informative and interactive forum.

Since 2009, the Paddock to Reef program has measured and reported on water quality factors that impact the health of the Great Barrier Reef. Central Queensland extension officers and land managers play an important role in this program through on-ground action and data collection. This event is an opportunity to learn more about the fascinating multi-faceted project and how it contributes to improving Reef health and recovery management actions.

The day includes bite-sized presentations about different components for the Paddock to Reef program plus a field tour to a completed large-scale sediment saving project.

Guest Speakers

  • Carl Mitchell (Department of Environment and Science) – A Paddock to Reef program overview
  • Leigh Stitz (Fitzroy Partnerships River Health) – The value of collaboration
  • Meg Bickle (Department of Environment and Science) – A human perspective
