Natural Resource Management officers from the Department of Resources will be available, alongside Queensland Fire & Emergency Services (QFES), to assist with some of the more common vegetation management queries, walkthrough online tools and provide practical demonstrations.
You are invited to attend for the full day, or if more suitable, the morning or afternoon sessions only. Please indicate with your ticket which option you prefer for catering purposes, as more and afternoon, as well as a lunch, will be provided.
Program:
Morning:
- Step through the Managing Fodder Harvesting Code
- How to complete a Fodder Harvesting notification form online and mapping tools
- GIS mapping and mobile devices
- Exemptions for Leasehold and Freehold properties
Afternoon:
- How to download Vegetation Management information using the Queensland Globe
- Aaron Sheehan Bushfire Safety Officer (QFES) will discuss permits to light and annual checks and have a wildfire simulator on hand
- Travel offsite to see a practical demonstration of a fuel load assessment and how to complete a vegetation self-audit
