GPS essentials workshop Roma

Presented by AgForce Queensland, this one-day workshop will teach you all the essential skills you need to use your GPS device effectively and combine your property data with the latest mapping software.

Topics include:

  • Setting up your GPS correctly
  • Measuring areas and distances using waypoints and tracks
  • Downloading and uploading information into a property computer mapping program
  • Taking geo-tagged photos for monitoring sites.

The workshop cost is $490 per person for a full day registration, additional attendees from same enterprise $245 per person.

Grazing enterprises in the Fitzroy Basin Association may be eligible to claim back 70% of the registration cost of this workshop through the FBA Grazing Training Reimbursement Program.

If you have a GPS, bring it along to use during the workshop. If you don’t have one, AgForce will provide one for you to use during the workshop. A GPS Glovebox Guide (if available for your device) will be provided.

On completion of this workshop, participants will receive a Statement of Attainment for the Use handheld eBusiness tools (AHCBUS301) competency as part of the Certificate III in Agriculture.
