Climate – Land types – Grazing management
A workshop that looks at the local influences on pasture yield and quality and how you can use seasonal planning and strategic management to maximise productivity.
The workshop covers subjects such as:
- Environmental regulators of pasture growth and quality
- Feed-year planning
- Long and short-term carrying capacity
- Basic principles behind successful grazing systems
- Local pasture growth patterns
- How soil type influences pasture growth
- Land condition
Participants will be given the opportunity to participate in a 12 month follow-up coaching program.
