NQ Dry Tropics and the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, Queensland invite you to attend a day for graziers that focuses on improving herd efficiency and production in the north.
Presented by Dr Ian Braithwaite, a northern Australian cattle veterinarian and passionate advocate for improved efficiencies in the northern beef herd and businesses, and Bob Shepherd, DAF Grazing Land Management Extension Officer and specialist in soil conservation and the management of grazing lands using appropriate stocking rates., the topics discussed will include:
- Controlled mating – bulls in-bulls out
- Improved reproductive performance of female cattle
- Grazier Q & A
- Managing the feed base for optimising carrying capacity
