In partnership with North East Downs Landcare group, Southern Queensland Landscapes would like to invite you to join them for an informational workshop to learn about vegetation clearing codes, the new trigger mapping tool and treatment of environmental weeds
in remnant vegetation.
Three speakers are lined up to offer knowledge and answer questions. Here is what to expect on the day:
- Rod Manthey from the Department of Environment and Science will explain trigger mapping and endangered plant species rules.
- Dave Hinz, Natural Resource Management Officer from the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries, will discuss mapping, exemptions and accepted development vegetation clearing codes.
- Lunch break
- Farm visit to 148 Jackson’s Road, Moola where Craig Hunter from Biosecurity Queensland will discuss weed treatment which will be followed by Rod and Dave demonstrating how the rules and exemption apply to the property.
