The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) has issued an alert indicating there’s a 70 per cent chance of La Niña developing this summer, bringing cooler temperatures, increased rainfall and more chance of widespread flooding.
This webinar, designed to educate and update members on what this might mean for producers, will include information about:
- The seasonal forecast for Queensland
- The climate drivers – ENSO, IOD and MJO
- Navigating the BOM website
- What producers can do to take advantage of this forecast
- Maximising crop production in a La Niña year
- Possible negative consequences of a wet summer
