Are we riding on the sheep’s back again? And will it last?
Join Robert Herrmann, from Mecardo presenting on:
- How good are current sheep and wool markets and how did it get here?
- The future of the wool and sheep industry
- How best to position yourself to take advantage in these markets
Mecardo is an independent, specialist agricultural strategy and marketing advisory business. The company was established by Robert Herrmann in 1996. The formation of Mecardo was in response to the changing landscape of the wool industry post Reserve Price Scheme and has since expanded into the areas of livestock and grain price risk management.
Mecardo is recognised throughout the Australian rural sector for innovative thinking, thought leadership and the capacity to design “disruptive technology & thinking” that challenges the status quo.
Robert feels fortunate to have had a career working with a wide range of farm businesses. Challenges thrown up via adverse seasons, markets or personal situations have seen clients often request his assistance and advice. He feels this is now a time to put these experiences to greater use and give back to the farming community that has been so good to him, both personally and in business. With this in mind, Robert would also like to share with us his recent experiences working with farmers in Uganda.
Over dinner, Robert and local speakers will share their stories of Resilience. What does it mean, how to develop it and how do you put it to use when the time comes?
Tickets available to forum and dinner as a package or separately. Dinner includes canapes and main course. Forum only: $15, Forum and Dinner: $35, Dinner only: $25
