Last year, Meat & Livestock Australia launched a series of regionally relevant, one-day technical  workshops for livestock advisors and consultants.

More than 130 livestock industry professionals attended events held in Brisbane, Sydney and Perth, with 91% of attendees saying they would recommend the events to other advisors.

Here’s what some attendees said:

– The day worked really well. Interest and attention maintained at all times.

– Good networking opportunity to make contacts and learn about current research findings.

– A worthwhile and informative day.

Livestock Advisor Updates provide opportunities for livestock advisors, leading producers and professional extension consultants to:

  • learn about the latest red meat R&D
  • gain skills, tools and knowledge to increase their offering to clients
  • network with peers.

Livestock advisor updates 2020 in northern Australia

In 2020, the northern Livestock Advisor Update event will be held on 1-3 September in Brisbane.

It will be delivered in a one-day format followed by a one and a half day Profitable Grazing Systems professional development activity.

More information about the program for both activities will be available in the next 6-8 weeks. Delegates will be able to register for either one or both activities, and a networking dinner function.

In 2019 the events sold out, so we suggest you get the dates in your diary now and register early to avoid missing out.

New livestock professionals bursaries

The Livestock Advisor Updates program aims to support the entry of less experienced/new industry participants into livestock professional roles. Bursaries to attend Livestock Advisor Updates at each location in 2020 – Melbourne, Dubbo, Brisbane, Perth – will be made available. More information about the bursary be accessed on the website.

Keep up to date

The Livestock Advisor Updates webpage contains recordings, presentations and summaries from the 2019 program. Information about the 2020 event will be posted once the program is finalised.
