Marketing Quality Beef from Quality Land Field Day, proudly sponsored by Meat Livestock Australia, the Department of Primary Industry and Fisheries and the Cattle Council will be held at the Old Man Plains Research Station near Alice Springs on 22 October 2013. Ian McLean, Bush Agri Business will discuss profitability and marketing strategies for Central Australian cattle producers. The day will also include presentations on MSA grading for outback cattle, the Pasturefed Cattle Assurance System, report on the Quality Graze trial and the initiative to brand Central Australian beef. In addition, there will be a practical demonstration of remote monitoring systems with cost benefit analysis, along with demonstrations of NLIS software. The day commences at 8.30am and will conclude with a BBQ at 3.30pm. Attendees will also have the option of viewing the Droughtmaster cattle on the research station.
