Join MLA for a 45-minute webinar as part of the PDS Updates webinar series, showcasing findings from the Producer Demonstration Site (PDS) ‘Optimising age of weaning in cattle’.
This session will outline the demonstration approach, key observations from participating properties and practical considerations when determining optimal weaning age.
The session will cover:
- measurable outcomes from calves weaned at different ages
- effects on cow body condition, fertility and rebreeding the influence of season and feedbase constraints on weaning decisions
- management considerations, risks and operational impacts
- practical recommendations supported by the project’s data.
