NLIS account training to meet biosecurity and market requirements

The topics on the day will include:

  • Navigating the new NLIS website
  • Maintaining lifetime traceability for LPA, biosecurity and market requirements
  • Downloading eDECS
  • Overview of basic account functions
  • Tags and selecting the right reader
  • How to complete a tag transfer and PIC reconciliation
  • Understanding account warnings

The NLIS team:

George Basha (MLA) is the NLIS Customer Services Manager at MLA. Since 1999 he initially trained abattoir and saleyard workers, then producers all over Australia as NLIS became mandatory. He now focuses on on-farm use of NLIS and meeting market requirements.

Doug McNaught (BQ) is a stock inspector with extensive experience in NLIS. Having worked in NLIS with MLA for five years before re-joining BQ, Doug’s knowledge in NLIS account management is invaluable.

Please bring a laptop if you have one.
