Meet the presenters

Fred Chudleigh is a Principal Economist in beef industry analysis with the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries based at Toowoomba. Fred has 20 years of experience as an agricultural economist. Most recently his work has involved the economic analyses of high output forages, breeder herd management, manipulating growth paths for northern steers, the use of phosphorus fertilisers and supplements.

Dr Maree Bowen is a Principal Research Scientist in beef cattle nutrition with the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries based at Rockhampton. Maree has led beef and sheep nutrition research projects in Queensland’s grazing lands for over 17 years. Her expertise lies in the nutrition of grazing animals. Maree is passionate about providing producers with a better knowledge of how management decisions and new technologies impact the profitability of their business, in addition to effects on productivity.

Stuart Buck is a Senior Agronomist in sown pastures with the Queensland Department of Agriculture and Fisheries based at Rockhampton. Stuart has spent nearly 20 years working in research and extension in central Queensland pasture, crop and forage systems. He has recently managed pasture projects in central Queensland, assisting graziers incorporate legumes into existing pastures, including leucaena.
