Unlock the growth potential of your sown pastures

PayDirt is a group-based, supported learning program developed by MLA which guides graziers through the process of planning and implementing a pasture fertilising program.

You will learn:

• to evaluate which paddocks are good contenders for fertilising compared to changes in grazing regimes or plant species (via manipulation or re-sowing)

• soil sampling and how to read and interpret your soil test results to recognise which nutrients are most limiting pasture productivity

• identify and address nutrient shortfalls and use simple economic analyses to determine what investments should be given priority.

Throughout the program you will use decision tools to work towards getting the order and magnitude of investment in pasture improvement right.

Program Format:

Three group learning sessions over 3 months and access to individual coaching to develop property-specific plans.

17th May 2023 Session one: Is fertiliser the answer for this paddock?

14th June 2023 Session two: Soil test results- What do they mean?

12th July 2023 Session three: Getting the best bang for your buck
