Field days are an opportunity for like-minded people to gather on a property to discuss topics relevant to that region and see firsthand how RCS principles are being applied in similar land types and production systems. We encourage you to invite neighbours, staff, family and friends as everyone is welcome.

Discussion Topics

  • Managing fast growing pasture through wet season where a lot of P3 pasture is left
  • Dealing with Phosphorus deficient country
  • Dividing up more country into cells, feedback on current plan
  • Options for increasing diversity with monoculture paddocks of pangola, signal and tully grass

Brief History

“The Creek” is an 800 acre block, 12km from Proserpine.  Ben and Jodie downsized about 6 years ago to help make life a little easier with kids and while Ben was working off property.  Ben and Jodie attended Grazing for Profit in Orange, 4 years ago and decided they needed diversity to create more of an income from the farm.  This is when they moved into opening the property up for weddings, which has been very positive.  Jodie runs breeders on the block, selling off weaners.
